Sena An, a college student, was in Boston during the April 15 Boston Marathon bombing and shared her experiences in a recent interview.
An was confined to her home during the search for the suspects. “At first I didn’t know what was happening, and I was confused when I saw everyone posting stuff about Boston on Facebook and Instagram. I thought it was all jokes, but the police came to my house and told me that we had to go on lockdown… I was scared… That was probably the most news I’ve ever watched in my life,” she explained.
After a tense period, the suspects were found.
“I’m happy that the victim was caught, but I think it will take a long time to get everything back to the way it used to be,” said An. “No one that was close to me got killed, and I’m so grateful for that.”
