On April 16, 2011, student reporters watched a film about a forgotten historic event, the L.A. riots, that happened in the central Los Angeles area called Koreatown. David D. Kim, a well known attorney and the producer of the film, had a question and answer session for the students to ask and comment about the film. He inspired the students to become leaders of this nation and represent the Korean poulation by becoming a voice in the community.
One of the advisory panelists, Ken Lee, attended this workshop to introduce himself as he is a courts/crime reporter at People Magazine. The students had the chance to ask him questions about journalism and being a journalist as a career. This workshop was very imformative and interactive to the students.
