Movies that continue to stay in fame after several years have passed truly must be doing something right. These movies, like Mean Girls, depict an exaggerated high school life that brings laughter to several high schoolers. Actresses, Lindsey Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried, play important roles in this film as they become even more famous throughout the years.
The story goes as three popular high school students: Karen Smith(Amanda Seyfried), Regina George(Rachel McAdams), and Gretchen Wieners(Lacey Chabert) meet Cady Heron(Lindsey Lohan). Being the alpha female of the whole school and her ring of friends, Regina seeks to include Cady in her group. Cady not wanting to miss the opportunity to ruin and mess with Regina, starts off with evil plans to make Regina go crazy. And as Cady’s schemes become worse and worse, the ring of popular girls start to break their ties and lean more towards Cady. Even though Cady’s intentions were never to become the alpha female, her newfound desire to be the leader of the group takes the best of her.
And as high schoolers recall this film they tend to quote their famous lines, full of dramatic yet hilarious scenarios. Lines such as, “She doesn’t even go here” or “That is so fetch!”, have been common quotes from students. And with a film that brings about a lot of hilarious moments, it is rather difficult not to fall in the norm of quoting and commenting. Although Mean Girls is not a classic, this film definitely catches the attention of people, never fully getting outdated.
