Fairmont Music at Fairmont Preparatory Academy in Anaheim, Calif., has long held a respected reputation throughout California. Recently, Fairmont Music has been praised internationally after their trip to London.
On April 2, Fairmont Music, which consists of of concert band, concert choir, and show choir, flew to London. For 5 days, they dedicated themselves to competing and performing. During their trip, they visited many historical places including the British Museum, Windsor Castle, and Buckingham Palace. Moreover, the concert choir had a unique and valuable opportunity to perform at St. Paul’s Church at Covet Garden. On the fourth day of the trip, all three performance groups had their first international competition at Royal Academy of Music in the morning. According to Ms. Stacey Barta, the director of music program at Fairmont Preparatory academy, all groups did an outstanding job, and most importantly, their teamwork and strong family bond shined on and off the stage.
As a result, later that evening, they were awarded with numerous awards: band received a bronze ranking, and concert choir and show choir both received silver rankings. Furthermore, show choir won the best choir overall in the competition, and Fairmont Music won the most treasured award called The Knights of the Round Table. The Knights of the Round Table award acknowledges the group that had the best teamwork on and off the stage. After the competition, the groups had the opportunity to perform at the Regent Park and they also watched the famous musical, “Chicago.”
Kiley Eskridge, a senior in band and choir, expressed her pride in the music program. “I have been in Fairmont Music since I was in Junior High, and I feel so fortunate to be with the music family at my school. They are my family, and I am so proud to rank internationally this year.” Moreover, Christy Park, a soprano in choir, said, “Our exceptionally strong teamwork has won us the respect and the fame.”

The formatting of the article was a bit strange, but you had everything you needed: quotes, lead, supporting details etc. You presented the issue from a relatively objective viewpoint and had good detail to support it. One thing I would suggest is getting quotes from faculty members who advised the students and getting a closer, more engaging picture of the performers.
