On Friday, Sept. 15, the Loyola Cubs were defeated by rival school St. John Bosco. St. John Bosco Braves were ranked No. 12 in the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division rankings while the Loyola Cubs were ranked No. 14, both with records of 3-0.
At halftime, the score was 31-0. The Braves played spectacularly, gaining 389 yard through the whole game; Bosco quarterback Josh Rosen threw for 239 yards with two touchdowns; he completed 11 out of 16 passes. Darren Walker rushed for 86 yards; he also had a touchdown. The final score was 45-0; Bosco held Loyola to 80 yards.
Loyola with a 3-1 record and Bosco with a 4-0 record, move forward with their season, hoping to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
