January 6. BCS Championship Game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. On Monday, college football teams from Auburn and Florida State will meet in Pasadena to decide who will win the final BCS trophy before the NCAA moves to a new system of crowning champions.
January 12. Popovich Comedy at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center. The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater highlights the juggling skills of Gregory Popovich and the talents of his 15 cats and 10 dogs!
January 15-19. The LA Art Show at the Convention Center in Downtown LA. During the 18th annual LA Art Show, gallerists from around the world will convene downtown to show their work. Last year’s event drew more than 56,000 people.
January 16-18. Raising the Barre at Irvine High School. The IHS Dance Department will be presenting its annual ballet show, Raising the Barre, at the school theater. Last year’s performance sold out, so get tickets early!
January 23. The Survivor at Glendale Central Library. Dr. Rosemary Cohen will read from her book the Survivor, which tells the true story of a girl whose life was transformed by the 1917-18 Armenian genocide in Iran. Admission is free.
January 25. Black Light Dance at Valencia High School. Valencia High School will be hosting its second annual Black Light Dance. Students from all over Santa Clarita Valley are invited to come socialize and enjoy a fun-filled Saturday night.
January 29. P!NK Concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim. She’s gone Platinum, and she’s been charting high on Billboard’s Hot 100 consistently since her debut in 1999. Now, P!NK is coming to Anaheim for her Truth About Love album tour.
January 30-31. Solo Spotlight at Van Nuys High School. VNHS is hosting its annual Solo Spotlight choral show. This event allows regular choir members to show their individual talents and skills.
