Broadway is home to the most popular musicals to date. The movie Frozen has been a children’s favorite for years. With Frozen 2 recently hitting the theaters, the hype for the Frozen Broadway Musical has significantly increased. Having watched both movies, I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to go see the musical in person.
Frozen the Broadway Musical was held at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, and lasted over two hours, including one intermission. I was happy to see excited young girls in the audience, many who had brought their Olaf dolls, and some even dressed up as the main character Elsa.
Since I had heard about the massive popularity of Broadway musicals, and was very aware of Frozen’s popularity, I had high expectations for the musical, and I was not in the least disappointed. It seemed that the majority of the audience’s favorite scene from the musical was when Elsa performed her most popular song, Let it Go. The actress playing the role of Elsa did an outstanding job performing the song. Her vocals were so powerful that it filled the theater, giving me goosebumps. During the song her dress changed from ordinary to a glistening gown in the flash of a second, and a large ice castle formed during the performance. It was truly the climax of the entire musical. Furthermore, all the props were perfect for each scene, and all of the actors and actresses did a spectacular job in portraying their roles. At the end of the musical, the audience stood up and praised of the actors for their amazing performance.
From this experience, I was able to understand why Broadway musicals are so special and famous. If you ever get the chance to attend one, you should definitely go because they are out of this world!
