Without argument, Hawaii is a destination of relaxation and tropical goodness that most people, if not everyone, would want to visit at some time in their life. The island of Maui, in particular, has an ongoing list of hidden gems that encompass countless stunning views, delicious foods, and memorable activities.
At first arrival, an eatery that best introduces Maui, is Paia Fish Market in the locations Paia, Kihei, and Lahaina. The main dish, sauteed mahi mahi with rice and home potatoes, serves a scrumptious burst of lemon pepper from the white fish, savory dill salad, soft boiled potatoes, with flavorful cajun rice. The fish overflows in juice and tenderness, as it instantly melts in your mouth, hugging your tastebuds. Though fish is difficult to master, the mahi mahi is cooked, seasoned, and plated to perfection, along with sides that complement the fish extremely well.
After being filled with praise-worthy food, a must-see destination for the ultimate sunset views is Haleakala National Park. With the highest elevation of 10,000 feet, it is undeniable how breathtaking the view is. During the peak hours of 6am and 6pm, the sun lies close within the horizon, as the baby blue sky wraps around the ombre sun of deep scarlet and gold. As the elevation continues to rise, the clouds become visible up to the surface and resemble fluffy dollops of whipped cream, almost being too beautiful to be real. Surrounding the view, tall dark green forest trees and the far mountains, make it seem as though a painting is being created right in front of your eyes.
In addition, some special activities that particularly show the beauty of Maui are snorkeling and zip lining. There are many places to snorkel in Hawaii, but the Ka’anapali Beach is extraordinary because it is a spot where the teal water glitters and thousands of sea animals are found. This beach differs from the beaches of California or other islands due to the tame waves and soft sand. Even at just a couple feet deep, a whole new world can be discovered. Another activity, zip lining at the Jungle Zipline, allows beginner zip liners to feel at ease, while enjoying the exotic plants and colorful flowers around. During the duration of gliding through the air, the wind welcomes your presence and cools your face with the sweet aroma of the natural greenery.
All in all, the tasty food, heavenly scenery, as well as exciting activities, are especially tailored together for the perfect visit to Maui.
