Despite it being years after the Harry Potter movies came to an epic conclusion as the last book in the 7 book series by J.K. Rowling was split into two screen adaptations, the Harry Potter franchise has continued to reach great heights.
The most recent of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is still selling in great numbers in bookstores around the nation. This book is written as a play and takes place 19 years after the first 7 books came to a close. Harry Potter is a father and his two best friends Hermione and Ron are also in their maturity.
To add to the fervor of Harry Potter, another movie in the Harry Potter franchise also hit theaters this past holiday season. “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” which is another screen adaptation of a book written by J.K. Rowling that takes place 70 years before the Harry Potter series begins. The movie and the book is also selling in great numbers and has also been included in the Harry Potter franchise successes.
Critics are amazed at the fact that although the popular series seems to have come to an end, the popular series regained its reputation. However, supporters say that that the book and the movie became very popular because children and adults have also shifted their interests towards similar types of books and movies. Fantasy novels and movies have become a very popular staple in society helping the numbers growing at such great rates. Either way, it doesn’t seem like Harry Potter and everything that will come is here to stay.
