Show Me The Money is a South Korean rap competition TV show that airs on Mnet. The first season of Show Me The Money aired back in 2012 and it has grown popularity ever since. The show includes rookie and professional rappers and it gives the rappers a chance to show what they have. There are “producers” who judge the contestants and they decide whether the contestant can qualify to continue performing on the show. The goal in this TV show is to get as far as you can throughout the show. In this show, there are auditions, cyphers, team performances, and solo performances. Since it’s a survival competition, rappers have no choice but to drop out throughout the show.
Show Me The Money 5 is back with new participants who come from South Korea and Los Angeles. For the first time, show me the money has decided to hold an audition in Los Angeles and well-known rappers like Junoflo and Flowsik have passed the first audition. This year, there were more than 9000 participants waiting to be judged by the judges. Team AOMG, YG Entertainment, Illionaire Records, and Gill and Mad Clown are the judges for this season’s Show Me The Money. There are some rappers who have either previously been on the show or are well-known such as: G2, Reddy, C Jamm, BewhY, Bizniz, Onesun, Jin Doggae, J’Kyun, Seo Chul Goo, Snacky Chan, One, Sanchez, Dayday, Super Bee and Flowsik.
The songs that were performed in this season’s Show Me The Money has charged 1st places in the charts. Songs “I’m not the person you used to know”, “Comfortable”, and “Knock” by the AOMG team and the YG Entertainment team have peaked in the chart positions. Many songs are produced in each season of Show Me The Money and they usually hit the top of the charts each year the show airs on TV.
