The annual San Antonio Fiesta in Anaheim Hills was held from Sept. 13 to 15. Its purpose was to fundraise money to provide supplies for the homeless and people in need. Profits were also sent out to churches outside of the country.
With over thousands of attendees, the Fiesta was very successful, thanks to all the volunteers who came and helped over the three days. People from the community and visitors gathered to enjoy various rides, concerts, foods, game booths and more. Volunteers of all ages, from elementary students to senior citizens, included members of the San Antonio Church ministry and students.
“It’s a great way to raise money for those who are in need,” stated Erik Andreshak, a junior volunteer member of the youth ministry, “also, people who are in need of a good time get a good time.”
Although volunteers had to spend a few hours helping out at the booths, they also had the chance to go out and enjoy the fun activities. One of the big events at the festival was the silent auction. Adults who were 18 years or older had the opportunity to auction for various prizes and gift baskets, which consisted of several items grouped into one.
The San Antonio Fiesta was an enjoyable community event, and people from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures are looking forward to next year’s fiesta.
